  • Added 36 km of new lanes to the Monash and Princes Freeways, with expansions at:
    • Warrigal Road to EastLink (outbound).
    • EastLink to Springvale Road (inbound).
    • Clyde Road to Cardinia Road (both directions).

Additional improvements include:

  • A new outbound entry ramp at Police Road connecting to the freeway.
  • A dedicated road linking Jacksons Road outbound ramps directly to EastLink.
  • Installation of smart road technology, expanding the lane-use management system from the South Gippsland Freeway to the Beaconsfield interchange.
  • Upgrading the Beaconsfield interchange to a diamond interchange, adding an inbound exit ramp and an outbound entry ramp.
  • Opening the new O’Shea Road extension between Soldiers Road and Princes Freeway.
  • Creating a shared walking and cycling path along O’Shea Road from Clyde Road, Berwick, to the Princes Highway, Beaconsfield.
